Officiating at HSA

Supporting Our Team Keeps Meets Local

Thank you for your willingness to learn more about becoming an official with HSA and USA Swimming.  Our official volunteers are critical to ensure we can continue to host and support swim meets.  Serving as an official is a great way to support our athletes, learn more about the sport of swimming, complete your volunteer hours, and meet new people.

The training requirements are extensive to ensure you are knowledgeable, prepared, and confident before officiating a USA Swimming meet.

Most volunteers follow either a wet deck route (Stroke & Turn, Starter, Referee) or a dry deck route (Administrative Official).
